Apple Pie Smoothie

A refreshing twist on a classic staple at July 4th parties. Instead of an oven we're using a blender to compile the sweet apple, flakey goodness into an icy treat.

Equipment

  • 1 Blender

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp almond meal
  • 1 ea small apple Cut into pieces. Gala or pink lady apples are best for this recipe, crisp and naturally sweet!
  • 1 ea small banana Cut into pieces and frozen ahead of time
  • 3/4 cup plain greek yogurt, or non-dairy yogurt of choice
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp (optional) chia seeds no need to pre-soak before adding to the blender

Instructions
 

  • Combine ingredients and blend until smooth
